My research focuses on elucidating the role of microglia in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease, with particular emphasis on amyloid beta clearance, neuroinflammatory responses, and amyloid plaque formation. To investigate these processes, I am developing in vitro models incorporating hPSC-derived microglia, neurons, and astrocytes. The mechanistic insights obtained from these studies will inform the development of microglia-based cell therapies as potential interventions for Alzheimer’s disease.
